Organisations

An organisation is a club, a works council, an association — a structure that organises for others, not just among friends.

What sets it apart from an ordinary group

A group states what it is; an organisation can, in addition, contain other groups and delegate. A structure's type is permanent: a group of friends converted into an organisation stays one. What it is allowed to do, however, depends on its product, which can expire.

Internal groups

An organisation can create groups within itself — a competition section, a team, a department. Those groups never appear outside the organisation, even when marked public, and their join code answers « invalid code » to anyone not already in the organisation. One level only: an internal group contains no others.

They inherit their organisation's product. The business rule is simple: the club or the works council pays for its members.

Delegating

An organisation can open to its members the right to create groups, and the right to create tournaments. The two settings are independent, and their defaults deliberately differ: creating a group consumes nothing, creating a tournament commits caps and spending.

When the subscription ends

Nothing is destroyed, nothing is degraded. An organisation whose product has lapsed keeps its features: its TV broadcast links still answer, its documents still generate. What it loses is the right to commit anything new — create a tournament, add a member. Taking out a subscription again reopens everything, as it was.
