Registrations
A tournament can fill up in three ways, from the most closed to the most open.
Three scopes
- Nobody — the default: the organiser adds players themselves.
- Members of the group — active members register themselves from the app.
- Anyone with the link — registration happens without an account, from a link or a QR code. A printable poster is available.
Approval and waiting list
Registrations can be accepted automatically or subject to approval. Beyond the headcount, a waiting list takes over and notifies the people who move up.
Why email and phone are required without an account
They are the only two ways to reach someone who has no account — and a waiting list must be able to notify. A registrant nobody can reach would be a promise we cannot keep.
Opening is not starting
Opening registrations and validating the tournament are two separate gestures. You print your poster and gather players before freezing anything.
